I’ve recently been reading about MBTI and more specifically Carl Jung. It’s basically a personality profiler where you can score on a sliding scale in four areas. These being Introverted/Extroverted, Sensing/Intuition, Thinking/Feeling and Judging/Perceiving. There are four areas with two types in each area so there are 16 possible personality types. Of course, humans being individual and this only being a guide you may be in the middle on some of the areas. For example, you may be a person with introverted and extroverted tendencies. I did read through all 16 personality types and try and figure out who was what but it was a lot of reading and it can be hard to judge. Whilst stumbling I ran into a site which gives a brief description on what might be your blogging style depending on your MBTI type. I thought mine was quite accurate so I thought I’d give it ago at guessing what you guys on my blogroll are and giving you your blogger descriptions.
Me - INTP - As a weblogger, you might not be as concerned about popularity, but more with the ideas and theories that you strive to understand. Because routines aren’t your strong point, you might be more likely to work on the concept of how to do a blog, but not be as excited to keep it up.
Jay - ENFP - As a weblogger, you may not be consistant in posts. Although, if you find a specific focus on their journal or a very flexible manner of writing, it may be more fufilling. Because you are warm and see so many posibilities in life, you may inspire others to follow in your footsteps with a journal.
Matt - ISTP - Because of your desire for action and independance, you will change the format of blogging or design frequently to keep it interesting and different. Your loyalty may have you reading the same blogs over a long period of time. Even though you could be easily bored with blogging, you might find that because you like following a project through, this is a good way for you to use your alone time to sort the facts you pick up through the day.
Sam - ESTJ - As a weblogger, you may fufill responsiblities as a leader in group weblogs. If you are really interested in blogging, you’ll follow it through and post regularly. Because you appreciate social order, you may be likely to take on a responsibility just to keep a project going.
Joel - ENTP - As a weblogger, your love for a discussion may cause you to debate things more often. You might also flit from idea to idea, not completing one before going to the next. Your largest sense is intution, which makes you a good at understanding what is going on around you - and this could act to your benefit when making blog-like posts over a journal.
Phil - I’m not too sure on Phil. I think maybe XXTJ but I’m not sure if you are sensing or intuitive. I’m thinking probably intuitive and you also seem to display introverted and extroverted qualities. You will have to let me know.
Let me know what you think, take the test, let me know what you get. I find it interesting and it will be interesting to hear what you guys think and to see how far off I am in guessing your personality types.
Yours,

on the site you looked at, i’m actually ISTP. I think it really dependson the mood. I’m very strongly Sensing and Thinking (95% for both) and weakly Introverted and Perceiving (about 60%)

I’d not noticed you’d posted this. I would’ve replied sooner if I’d known. Very interesting and suprisingly accurate. Ended up being mostly Interpersonal, Intrapersonal and Logical.
